Auto PlusXP Version 3.02.14 Available *IMPORTANT UPDATE*
Posted by Johnny Halverson on 17 April 2012 04:41 PM

A new version of Auto PlusXP is available for download.  Please log off of all machines and run live update from the server machine.

1.  AutoPlus.mdb was replaced (main program)

In this update there are 8 fixes and 3 additions.  The reason this update is important is that it allows for the ability to integrate with our new Auto Plus ACES Catalog XP .NET program.  This new program is the foundation to the complete replacement to the current Auto PlusXP program.  Although Auto PlusXP will not be fully replaced for some time, this will give you both an introduction to the new system technology and two optional modules.  The first module is for customers and potential customers who would like their web site shopping carts to have web orders import directly into the Auto PlusXP system.  The other is a report module for inventory activity by interchange.

Please create a ticket on http://support.rebsi.com under development if you would like us to assist you in installing and configuring this for you.  The evaluation is free of charge.

Here is a list of fixes and improvements:

Added: Flashing notes indicator in inventory profile.

Added: System date / time stamp at the bottom of registration screen.  Double click [Auto Plus Status] title resets the "systimestamp" to match system date.  Necessary for out of US customers.

Added: Ecommerce web order import using Auto Plus ACES Catalog XP program integration.

Fixed:  Column totals at the bottom of the vendor profile accounting history.

Fixed:  Kitting build calculation problem in order entry.

Fixed:  Inventory import routine not finding correct AAIA part type ID code.

Fixed:  Kitting not calculating quantity to build correctly.

Fixed:  Refunds was allowing a greater quantity to be returned than balance due.

Fixed:  Cash register receipt was not showing the correct line item extended total.

Fixed:  Refunds placed on hold and completed at the cash register were not adjusting inventory correctly.

Fixed:  Problem with order entry system reporting incorrect purchase order over limit.

The image below is a screen shot of our new system.  This is of the Inventory Profile screen  Demos are available upon request.

March 2011 AAIA Legacy MMY / ACES VCdb PCdb Update
Posted by Johnny Halverson on 04 April 2011 07:13 PM

Click on the [New Version Available] button then click the OK button. Now that the master has been updated you will need to decide which of the changes you will import from the master or simply import all of the changes. When you are ready to select from the updated AAIA MMY database click on the [Select Vehicle from AAIA Master] button. This will load the entire AAIA Legacy MMY database for you to select from.

If you simply wish to import the entire database click on the [select all make] button then [OK] then [Save].

Here are some release notes from AAIA:

Vehicle Configuration Database
• The March version of the VCdb includes 8 model year 2011 vehicles including the Volkswagen Routan, and additional submodels for
Dodge Durango, Kia Sportage, Mazda MX-5 Miata, and Volkswagen Jetta.
• And 3 model year 2012 vehicles including the Ram Cargo Van and the Volvo S60 T5 and T6.

Parts Classification Database
• The March version of the PCdb includes 99 new Part Terminology records
• 13 Positions were added to existing Part types
• And 3 Parts had their Category and Sub Category changed for consistency

Corrections to Pre-75 values added in the Feb 2011 release
A significant amount of new data was introduced to the VCdb in the February release for Pre-75 light duty applications. Some errors were discovered and addressed in the March release.

• 21 invalid BaseVehicles were deleted from the BaseVehicle table. These were invalid BaseVehicles that were not referenced in the Vehicle table
• Invalid VehicleToBrakeConfigs were deleted. An example would be 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air with Front and Rear Disc Brakes.
These were part of the Pre 1975 data updates in the 2/25 VCdb. Accurate VehicleToBrakeConfigs (1955 Chevrolet Bel Air with Front and
Rear Drum Brakes) remain
• Approximately 2,300 EngineConfigs were updated to reflect accurate Valves Per Engine values. These were part of the Pre 1975 data updates
in the 2/25 VCdb. The EngineConifgIDs and VehicleToEngineConfigIDs were not changed so the relationship to the Vehicle is not affected.

Why do U/K values remain if the U/K’s were filled for Pre-75?
In the February release of the VCDB we added a significant amount of configuration data contributed by leading aftermarket companies. But, because this was donor data and not the product of vehicle research by AAIA or our partners, we could not be assured that the full universe of valid values for a specific Vehicle were represented. Therefore, you will find that a configuration with U/K values remains linked to a vehicle, in addition to the new fully populated configurations (Brakes and Body Style are good examples). If you refer to any of these newly populated values in your application data (for U.S. Light Duty vehicles 1974 to 1945), you will want to update you application catalog files and send coded values to your trading partners.
